Mundanely interesting … today
Our annual Pi Day tradition had a unique twist this year: pizza! It is a pie after all. But Gary couldn’t resist and snuck in a coconut cream pie, nevertheless, for dessert.
Oh, and today is also Jiro’s 12th birthday!

A rare dinner get-together with former Honda colleagues at the local Japanese bistro.

The former Japanese president of the engineering division I worked in at Honda was in town visiting last week. We had a little get-together for pizza and chicken wings with several retirees who knew or used to work with him. No less than three of these guys were former bosses of mine.

Mike and Ron are former co-workers who recently retired on March 1st. This party was at Benny’s in Marysville. It was a good time to see them off to retirement, and of course, see other co-workers whom I haven’t seen in a while.

Sometimes I get together with long-retired, previous co-workers to reminisce the ‘good old days’ and for lively discussions of the topics du jour over breakfast. And it’s always fun to be the baby in the group!
Surprise! A long due post. Sometimes, life happens, and blogs and posts are neglected. Sometimes, one needs time off from the internet and its social universe to maintain decent semblances of sanity and overall mental health. Sometimes, the Squarespace mobile app just needs to get better and more user friendly to encourage more frequent posting. All excuses, I know, but all valid nevertheless.
Anyway, a most recent notable change is my new ride - a 2019 Passport Elite AWD, in Modern Steel Metallic. Here are some pics.
